Saturday was a gorgeous day (of course, the weather gets all nice after the company leaves). It was in the high 80s, a little humid, but not unbearable, and overall just a beautiful day! I had to work in the morning, but after work, Matt and I headed into Milford to do a little shopping for Retro Banquet (my outfit is awesome, but you’ll have to wait a couple weeks for pics from the banquet to see it). After a couple more errands, Matt and I headed out to Prime Hook. It was such a wonderful drive with the top off the Jeep and the wind blowing through our hair.

We looked at the wildlife and enjoyed the scenery. Quite fun and relaxing. Then Matt saw a bald eagle!!!! I was so excited. I had never seen a real life wild bald eagle before. I couldn’t get a pic because it was too far away (we could only see it using Matt’s binoculars). It was so cool. So, we tried to get closer to them by walking through the mud in the marsh (and even trespassing a little). This was an adventure as I was in flip flops. Fortunately, I didn’t get too muddy and we were able to see the eagles (there were three of them, one a baby) a little better. Sadly, when we got closer (still far enough we had to use the binoculars), they flew away when we weren’t looking. 😦 Or at least, we couldn’t find them anymore. I did get a few good pictures of a blue heron though! lol Those are enormous birds. Overall it was a really nice afternoon.

Blue Heron flying away. Awesome wing expansion!
Ha ha, of course the weather is nice now. 🙂 The weather has been really nice here too!
Beautiful pics!
