Rebekah and the Missing Bowl

Once upon a time, in a far away land, there lived a maiden named Rebekah.  One day when she went to store some food, she found she was missing a bowl.  After many, many minutes of searching to no avail, she gave up and used a different bowl.

Over time, Rebekah forgot about the bowl.  In not seeing the bowl for over two and a half years, forsooth, she forgot she even had ever owned such a nice bowl as this.

One day, a beautiful bowl with a nice blue lid appeared on her living room floor.  Puzzled by this magical appearance, Rebekah left it there and decided to ask her gallant knight from whence the bowl came and to whom it belonged.

Finally, the day came when Rebekah could ignore the bowl no longer.  She asked her gallant knight who own the beautiful bowl with the blue lid.
“Thou dost,” replied her gallant knight.
“I have never, in the realm of the kingdom, owned such a bowl,” the lovely maiden exclaimed.
“Thou dost,” insisted the gallant knight.  “Many years ago, you sent it with me filled with marvelous treats as I rode off to do the King’s bidding.”
“Oh,” replied Rebekah.  “How is it that such a wondrous bowl never was thieved or lost?”
“Alas, I kept it safe in the old schoolhouse,” said her gallant knight.  “Over time, it became the stand upon which the circle of the earth rested (his globe that has no stand) and it was hidden from view.”
“And yet, you return it almost three years later!  It is indeed miraculous!”
“Indeed it is,” replied her gallant knight.

And they, with their bowl, lived happily ever after.
